Captain Jeff Vannimwegen brings more than 20 years of professional fishing experience to every guided trip. He launched his fishing career in Southern California while managing a full-time job in construction, earning respect among local anglers and gaining valuable experience in competitive fishing. His success in tournaments and dedication to the craft earned him support from respected brands such as Cool Bait Lures, New Pro Products, Great Lakes Finesse, Yolotek, and Extreme Outdoors. Over the years, he has competed in major events including the US Open, National Bass West, and American Bass.
After retiring from the construction industry, Captain Jeff moved to Branson, Missouri, where he established Anglers Adventures Guide Service. His move allowed him to combine his tournament background with his passion for teaching others how to fish. His trips are tailored to the seasons and species, with a focus on both bass and trout. Whether you're just getting started or looking to refine your technique, Jeff’s approach ensures you gain skills while enjoying time on the water.
In addition to his role as a guide, Captain Jeff is a licensed U.S. Coast Guard captain. He offers more than just a guided outing—his trips are built around learning and improvement. From interpreting sonar to knot tying and lure presentation, guests benefit from his patient instruction and clear communication. His goal is not only to help clients catch fish, but also to equip them with knowledge they can use long after the trip ends.
Captain Jeff operates a 20-foot Phoenix bass boat, built for both comfort and performance. It’s equipped with top-of-the-line fishing gear, plenty of storage, and space for up to five passengers. The boat includes the option for live bait, and all rods, reels, and lures are provided. Guests are encouraged to bring sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses. Bottled water and ice are available onboard, and you're welcome to bring additional drinks or snacks for your time on the lake.
